About MeI grew up on a small farm outside of Stillwater, Ok, and went to school (k-12) at Morrison Public Schools. I stayed in Stillwater and earned by bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University. With that degree I was given the opportunity to work for many academic scientists. My previous work includes studying and generating new scientific data in ornithology, mamalogy, herpetology, dendrolgy, forest ecology, and wetland ecology. I am married to my wonderful 'high school sweetheart' husband Andrew, who is also Stillwater native. We have one cat named Evie, one dog named Sugar, and love spending time with family, watching Cowboy Wrestling, volunteering with local Boy Scouts, and being in nature. |
My Wish ListMy Education |
My classroom wish list includes the following supplies:
I received my bachelors of science degree from OSU in May of 2014 from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. My degree is in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with an option in Natural History Conservation. Think of it as 'applied environmental science'. Holding this degree means that I understand natural resource preservation, conservation, and management of our fishery, forest, rangeland, and wildlife resources, in Oklahoma and beyond. My Degree option, Natural History Conservation, further qualifies me to teach others about our natural resource sciences.

My Goals |
This is my fifth year of teaching and I can not express to you enough how ecstatic I am to be at Stillwater Middle School teaching science! Since I was 12 years old I knew I wanted to be a science teacher and I am so blessed to be obtaining this dream here at this wonderful school and with these amazing kids!
It is my goal to make science fun, interactive, and intriguing for every student! In addition to their success academically in class, I want to influence all of my students to be exemplary citizens in science and in our world. |
